WEBSTORE Account SERVICES
Our webstore client accounts execs are veteran campaign activists and organizers. They live and breathe Progressive politics, and they know merch.
Mi'chelle, Tom and Ben are your liaisons to ensure every project meets the unique needs, ideals and dynamics of your campaign.
Tom Gilliam
Prior to joining the team in 2019, Tom spent six years as a campaign manager and consultant for progressive campaigns in Austin and Central Texas. Starting with current Texas State Senator Sarah Eckhardt's 2014 Travis County Judge campaign, he has served candidates and causes at the local, state, and federal levels.
Ben Steffy
A former staffer for the Sergeant-At-Arms office of the Texas House of Representatives, Ben knows what it takes to keep political projects on track and running smoothly. Over the 2018 cycle, he worked as a field organizer for Battleground Texas, with an emphasis on voter outreach, registration and activation.
Aaron Derton
A journalist by training, Aaron has run a newsroom, consulted for numerous Texas state representatives and a member of Congress, and most recently managed the field campaign that turned the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office blue.
Christianna Johnson
A recent graduate of Texas State University with a degree in political science and a minor in International Studies, Christianna worked as field organizer for the successful campaign for Erin Zweiner for the Texas House of Representatives before joining the Bright Blue Ink team.
union stewards
The foundation of our success is a true partnership between management and labor. Bright Blue Ink's Union stewards play an integral leadership role in the life of the shop, and collaborate closely with senior management on every important decision impacting life in the workplace.
On March 4, 2021, Bright Blue Ink's Union members ratified our current, five-year collective bargaining agreement by a unanimous vote.

Kyle Johnson
Kyle caught an incurable case of the campaign swag bug in 2008, printing bootleg Shepard Fairey tees and stickers out of his garage. (The Obama campaign never officially released the design, so every Shepard Fairey HOPE tee ever printed was a bootleg.)
He turned his passion into a business in 2013, founding Bright Blue Ink's parent printshop, Bumperactive.
Today, Bright Blue Ink manages the online webstores for 38 State Democratic Parties on a permanent basis, and hundreds of Progressive candidates every election cycle.
